My story ideas usually come to me in strongly visual terms. Thus, most of my books either started as movies or feel like them even though I may not have written them in screenplay format. The first three of my ‘literary’ efforts reside on Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) in all three formats: ebook, paperback and audiobook. The last two offerings reside on Amazon’s new Vella platform.
Andy: Origins
“Origins” is not only the most recent published release (Aug. 2, 2021), but also the start of the entire Andy adventure. It grew from the screenplay, “Andy – A Sexy Robot Story” and it begins with Andy as a set of arms, legs, torso and head and then details what happened after they flipped the switch and turned him on.
The Andy Series: Season One
Spoiler alert: by the end of “Andy: Origins,” Andy has taken over as CEO and president of Robotics International, just as he did at the end of the screenplay. Here I was as a screenwriter, author and storyteller with a wonderful character on my hands and a world of potential regarding “what next?”
The answer was a set of eight teleplays (a mini-series if you will) following the lives and adventures of the several Andy models Robotic International was activating and leasing out to the powerful female executives that were their original target marketing population. Those stories found themselves adapted into a significant novel (515 pages) and audiobook.

ARC: Titanic in Space
If this novel were to be made into a movie (and I think it should be, incidentally), it would have to be two movies—or maybe one giant movie like James Cameron’s massive and epic “Titanic.” Here’s a link to the pitch I created for the book. Beware, it does have spoilers.
Without giving away any spoilers, it’s a sprawling space opera, full of action, adventure and romance.

Circus Galaxus - on Amazon Vella
This first foray into the world that is Amazon’s Vella was uploaded before the platform went live to
readers. It’s short and, as per Vella formatting, available serially, as were the works of some major authors
of a century ago. I love the story. This link will take you to my pitch for what was originally “Circus Galaxus”
the screenplay. Again, it is a whole-hog spoiler.
Slange - on Amazon Vella
Storytellers sometimes have to fashion a tale that need to be told, whether or not there’s a predictable
reader or movie audience. I got pretty thoroughly hooked on the history of the Boer war (South Africa, 1900
– 1903) reading Thomas Packenham’s “the Boer War.” I also was among the last young American males
subject to the draft. Several of my friends and classmates were inducted into the army during the Vietnam
war. There are parallels between the two conflicts and I was driven to examine that in the way authors are
supposed to—by telling a story about it.
Two short stories on Wattpad
When first I started writing the Andy novellas, I mounted them on Wattpad. Now that they reside on Amazon KDP, I can no longer offer them anywhere else. I do have a couple favorite short stories that I also put up on Wattpad and they are perfectly happy residing there. I'll embed their promos here. It says "continue reading on Wattpad," but they're so short that the whole story shows up in the slide-over window. Enjoy!
